The Claude Max x5 subscribed to via Google Pay is no longer refundable.
My Claude max ban saga (App Store Round)
Got banned once on the App Store, got a refund. Got banned a second time — no refund. So I wiped everything, switched IPs, changed my setup, reinstalled, and moved to a Google Play subscription.
First 4 months? Totally fine. $125/month, no issues.
Then month five hit: charged on Oct 6, banned on Oct 8. Immediately filed for a refund through Google. A day later, this showed up in my inbox:
We've received your refund request for "Claude Max (Claude by Anthropic)" (refund amount: US$125.00; transaction ID: XXX), but this purchase doesn't qualify for a refund under our refund policy. We understand this outcome is disappointing, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
The real kicker
For Anthropic, this is a zero-cost ban machine. Third-party marketplace subscriptions? No refund. Official subscription? "You violated the rules," no refund. They've got a thousand ways to ban you for any reason they pull out of thin air. That's pure, zero-cost profit — and honestly? It's just plain dirty.
